Founded by Sarah Lorish and Dircelene “Sissi” Torres, Brass Owl Writers (BOW) was borne out of a desire to cultivate an inclusive and inspiring community for writers. As professional artists, Sarah and Sissi are acutely aware of the loneliness and overwhelm that often accompany creative pursuits. This company aims to demystify the writing process, guide emerging and established writers to complete their works, and provide creatives with hands-on support for every step of their storytelling journeys.

BOW offers ad hoc support for all of your writing, development, and critique needs. You can reserve a time block if you need help with character development, brainstorming ideas, creating a pitch deck, querying, and so much more. If you’re not sure what you need, book a free chat to discuss!
coaching
Our coaching services are for creatives seeking consistent, long-term guidance. This offering is ideal for clients with a specific goal in mind (ex. completing a strong manuscript, creating pitch materials to sell a concept) who would benefit from regular meetings.
critique Groups
Our intimate workshop-style groups include weekly critique sessions and optional write-ins. We currently offer 8 and 16 week sessions and maintain a group size of 4-6 members to ensure a personal and productive experience. Contact us to inquire about our next group(s).
