Dircelene “Sissi” Torres is an award-winning filmmaker whose credits include acting, producing, and costume design. She believes in the power of storytelling to shift cultural perspectives and foster genuine empathy. Known for her humor and her heart, she endeavors to tell stories that subvert societal perceptions of race, sexuality, and other hot button topics.

Dircelene is currently an adjunct at her alma mater, Tisch’s Kanbar Institute of Film & Television. When she’s not writing, you can find her recording obnoxiously long voice notes and giggling at internet memes.
